Parallel Tolerance is a new feature in FCM that improves joint detection
The "Parallel Tolerance" feature of Firestop Clash Management is a new feature in version 1.2.6963 that improves joint detection. By default, FCM locates joints by finding locations where two assemblies clash or join together. In some cases, joints may be intended to exist between assemblies that are not joined within the model. These joints would not be detected by FCM as there is no clash location for the engine to locate.
With Parallel Tolerance, FCM will look for potential joint locations by looking for clash locations that could occur between assemblies that are within close proximity to one another. The range of detection is settable by the user using the Parallel Tolerance button in the Firestop Clash Manager Nav Menu. By default the expanded detection range is set to 0' 0".
