What is Merge Openings Tolerance?

The "Merge Openings Tolerance" feature of Firestop Clash Management is a new feature in version 1.2.7025 that implements detection of penetrations that are placed close to each other within the mode. By default, when FCM finds a penetration condition it will look within 0' 4" of the condition for any other clash conditions. If conditions are found, FCM will merge these into a single opening prior to searching for appropriate firestop solutions.

This feature takes into consideration the real world constructability of grouped conditions to ensure that recommended solutions are not just applicable from within the virtual model, but are also constructable by implementation teams. If you wish to increase or decrease the Merge Openings Tolerance detection range you can do so from the Penetration Project Defaults menu.
